How clients choose
How a client chooses a salon or spa in 2026
Four moments decide whether a booking comes to you. Most salons and spas are strong in one or two and invisible in the rest.
- 01
They search Google and Maps
“Facial near me”, “balayage Chelsea”, “couples massage London”. Your Google profile, photos, reviews and treatment pages decide whether you make the shortlist at all.
- 02
They scroll Instagram and TikTok
Treatments are chosen with the eyes. The room, the results and the people who will look after them beat a feed of stock images and templates.
- 03
They ask ChatGPT
More clients ask an AI where to go for a treatment. It answers from what it can read about you: clear treatment pages, prices, opening hours and reviews.
- 04
They tap Book
Then it comes down to a phone screen. A booking link three taps deep or a form nobody answers sends them to the salon down the road.
What we have been building
Everything between the search and the booking
Content, Google, social, ads and websites under one roof, set up so you can see which of them fills the diary.
Booking tracking that tells the truth
Book-now buttons, calls and WhatsApp taps are often not counted anywhere. We set up Google Analytics in an account you own, with proper consent, and track every booking click.
Showing up in AI search
Clear pages for each treatment, with prices, timings and FAQs that answer what clients actually ask. It works for us too: most of Byter’s own enquiries in October came from people who found us through ChatGPT.
A Google profile that is looked after
Regular posts, offers and new treatments using real photography of your salon or spa. Google started rejecting posts with non-venue images this autumn, so stock pictures now cost you visibility.
Websites built around the booking
Your online booking linked from every page, treatment menus that read properly on a phone, gift vouchers, and offers that switch themselves on and off when they end.
One team, one monthly report
Content, social, Google, ads and the website handled by one team that talks to each other, with a monthly report and a direct line to the people doing the work.
Our work
What we actually did
Our spa work, and the booking and tracking work behind the check for other London businesses, in plain terms.
Free, no obligation
Get a free Booking Check
A person on our team looks at the five places your bookings are won or lost, and sends you a short, plain-English list of what to fix first. Keep it and do it yourself, or ask us to help.
- 1Your Google profilePhotos, posts, categories, hours and reviews, and how you compare with the salons and spas near you.
- 2Your booking path on a phoneHow many taps it takes to book a treatment, and where clients drop off.
- 3Your treatment pagesWhether each treatment has a clear page with price, timing and FAQs that Google and AI answers can read.
- 4Your reviewsHow many you have, how recent they are, and whether you reply. We never recommend incentives or review gating, which Google does not allow.
- 5Your contentHow your feed and reels look next to your competitors, and the shots you are missing.

Questions salons and spas ask
What is the Booking Check?
A hands-on review of the five places beauty bookings are won or lost: your Google profile, your booking path on a phone, your treatment pages, your reviews and your content. A person on our team does it, not a tool, and you get a short, plain-English list of what to fix first.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free and there is no obligation. If you want help with what we find, we will talk through options; if you would rather fix it yourself, the list is yours.
What kinds of beauty businesses do you work with?
Salons, spas, barbers and aesthetics clinics. Most of our work is with London hospitality businesses, and we bring the same content, Google and booking work to beauty. We have shot content for Cocon Spa.
Can you film without disturbing clients?
Yes. Content days are planned around your diary, and we only film people who have agreed to be filmed.
Do we have to sign up for everything?
No. Some businesses use us for content days and social, some for Google and ads, some for the website, and some for all of it. Monthly plans start from £750 and you can build your own on our pricing page.
Who owns the data and accounts?
You do. We set analytics up in accounts your business owns, so the data stays with you whoever runs your marketing.
