Koyal Surbiton
Social media management and content creation for Koyal, a 2 AA Rosette Indian restaurant in Surbiton serving authentic regional cuisine with modern interpretations. We developed a digital strategy that showcased their culinary excellence and drove reservations.
The Brief
Koyal is a 2 AA Rosette Indian restaurant in Surbiton, taking bookings through SevenRooms and takeaway orders through Toast. It wanted to see which marketing actually led to bookings, and to promote special events and gift vouchers through its website.
What We Did
- Set up the restaurant's first Google Analytics property, respecting visitor consent, and tracked reservation starts, phone calls and takeaway order clicks as key actions.
- Installed the Meta pixel so advertising can be measured, while respecting each visitor's cookie choice.
- Built the 2nd anniversary feasting menu campaign on the website, with a menu page, a popup and an announcement bar that retired themselves after the event, and phone booking as the main call to action.
- Added staff email alerts to the online gift voucher system for every sale and redemption, plus automatic reminders 30 days and 7 days before a voucher expires.
- Ran a technical audit of the site, covering the sitemap, colour contrast, security and how pages look when shared on social media, and shipped the fixes.
