How patients choose
How a patient picks a dentist in 2026
Four moments decide whether a new patient books with you. Most clinics are strong in one or two and invisible in the rest.
- 01
They search Google and Maps
“Dentist near me”, “Invisalign Clapham”, “emergency dentist open Saturday”. Your Google profile, reviews and treatment pages decide whether you make the shortlist at all.
- 02
They read the reviews
With a dentist, trust comes first. Patients read what others say about nerves, pain, price and the team before they ever pick up the phone.
- 03
They ask ChatGPT
More patients ask an AI which clinic to try for a treatment. It answers from what it can read about you: clear treatment pages, prices from, the team and reviews.
- 04
They book or call
Then it comes down to a phone screen. No online booking, a phone that rings out at lunchtime or a form nobody answers sends them to the next practice.
What we bring
Everything between the search and the appointment
We are not a specialist dental agency. We bring the content, Google, ads and website work we run for London businesses, and your clinic keeps the clinical say.
New patient tracking that tells the truth
Booking clicks, calls and form enquiries are often not counted anywhere. We set up Google Analytics in an account you own, with proper consent, and track every booking click and call.
Showing up in AI search
Clear pages for each treatment, such as implants, Invisalign, whitening or hygiene, with the facts an AI can quote. It works for us too: most of Byter’s own enquiries in October came from people who found us through ChatGPT.
A Google profile that is looked after
Regular posts, opening hours that stay right, and real photos of your practice and team. Google started rejecting posts with non-venue images this autumn, so stock pictures now cost you visibility.
Websites built around the appointment
Online booking linked from every page, treatment pages that read properly on a phone, and short enquiry forms with automatic confirmation emails.
One team, one monthly report
Content, Google, ads and the website handled by one team that talks to each other, with a monthly report and a direct line to the people doing the work.
The work behind the check
The same work, in other sectors
Clinics are a newer sector for us, so here is the tracking, booking and enquiry work we have done for other London businesses, in plain terms.
Free, no obligation
Get a free New Patient Check
A person on our team looks at the five places new patients are won or lost, and sends you a short, plain-English list of what to fix first. Keep it and do it yourself, or ask us to help.
- 1Your Google profilePhotos, categories, hours, the treatments listed and your reviews, and how you compare with practices near you.
- 2Your treatment pagesWhether implants, Invisalign, whitening and your other treatments each have a clear page that Google and AI answers can read.
- 3Your online bookingHow many taps it takes to book or request an appointment on a phone, and where patients drop off.
- 4Your reviewsHow many you have, how recent they are, and whether you reply. We never recommend incentives or review gating, which Google does not allow.
- 5Your new patient trackingWhether calls, booking clicks and form enquiries are being counted, and by whom.

Questions clinics ask
What is the New Patient Check?
A hands-on review of the five places new patients are won or lost: your Google profile, your treatment pages, your online booking, your reviews and your new patient tracking. A person on our team does it, not a tool, and you get a short, plain-English list of what to fix first.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free and there is no obligation. If you want help with what we find, we will talk through options; if you would rather fix it yourself, the list is yours.
Are you a specialist dental marketing agency?
No, and we would rather say so. Most of our work is with London hospitality, property and fitness businesses. What we bring to a clinic is the same content, Google, booking and tracking work, done properly.
Who signs off what we publish?
You do. Nothing about treatments, results or prices goes live without your clinic’s sign-off, so you stay in line with the GDC’s guidance on advertising and the advertising rules.
Do you work with other kinds of clinic?
Yes: dental practices, cosmetic clinics and physiotherapy clinics. The check and the work have the same shape: Google, treatment pages, booking and tracking.
Who owns the data and accounts?
You do. We set analytics up in accounts your clinic owns, so the data stays with you whoever runs your marketing.

Free, no obligation, and the list is yours to keep. Monthly plans start from £750 if you want us to fix it, or build your own.
